Cancellation Policy
At Hotel Shawi, we strive to offer flexibility while ensuring fair terms for both guests and our hotel. Please review the policy below carefully before confirming your booking.
1. Standard Cancellation
Free Cancellation: Cancel up to 48 hours before check-in for a full refund.
Late Cancellation: Cancellations made within 48 hours of check-in will incur a fee equivalent to one night’s stay.
No-Show: Guests who fail to check in without prior notice will be charged the full reservation amount.
2. Non-Refundable Rates
Discounted or promotional bookings labeled “Non-Refundable” cannot be canceled or modified. Full payment is charged at booking, and no refunds are provided for cancellations or no-shows.
3. Group Bookings (5+ Rooms)
Group reservations require cancellation 7 days prior to check-in for a full refund.
Cancellations within 7 days of arrival will incur a fee of 50% of the total booking cost.
4. Early Departures
Guests leaving before their reserved checkout date will be charged for the full original booking period.
5. Force Majeure
In exceptional circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government travel bans), we may offer fee-free rescheduling or credit for a future stay. Proof of eligibility (e.g., flight cancellation notices) may be required.
6. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method (Stripe or PayPal) within:
5–10 business days for credit/debit cards (via Stripe).
1–3 business days for PayPal refunds.
7. How to Cancel or Modify

8. Chargeback Policy
Disputing charges directly with your bank/PayPal (“chargebacks”) without contacting us first may result in permanent account suspension. We’re happy to resolve issues amicably!
